A brief look at the history and newest generation of the Wankel rotary engines

The Mazda rotary Wankel engine was developed by Felix Wankel, a German engineer in the 1960s. The company has canceled any new developments on the rotary engine recently. However, each newer version of the engine has been better than the previous with additions such as turbocharging and increased displacement.
