Basic Knowledge of a Phlebotomist
Posted by Jade Thompson in Education, tags: Education, phlebotomy trainingThe basic knowledge that a phlebotomist should have involves a couple of subjects. One of the most important basics that one must have is data in human anatomy. There's more than one part of the body where a phlebotomist can obtain a blood sample. Although the arm is the commonest area for a puncture site, there are occasions when using this area isn't possible or viable for use. The puncture site should be rigorously assessed first if the vein is powerful enough to endure the venipuncture. If the vein is not sufficiently good the phlebotomist would have to find find another area. Other reasons which explain why the traditional area won't be feasible may be due to the state of the patient like loss of limb, skin impairments or the like. There are occasions when age is a factor, particularly when it comes to kids. Knowing the human anatomy, you may easily locate and find other available veins.
