Of the many destinations in San Diego, there are many that are truly suited for vacations. There are plenty to choose from, but there is one that is just truly unique and more upscale than the rest, and yet despite what could be thought of as an expensive place, it continues to attract vacationers and tourists from all over the country. This, is Coronado Island, an upscale town ranked as one of the costliest place to live in North America, and home to a number of upscale dining, shopping, and watersports areas.

To many of us, it’s a nightmare we know is all too real, a nightmare that sees our favorite MP3 players, whether from our pockets, our bags, or our hands, coming into contact with all electronic devices’ arch-nemesis, water! It may come from a car running over a puddle, mother nature suddenly unleashing rain, a trusted friend who just decides to be funny and push us into the pool out of nowhere, or just forgetting to take the device out of the pocket when laundry day comes. Regardless of the scenario, it all ends in having a soaked, most of the time, broken MP3 player.

Nowadays we have DVDs, CDs, MP3s, and of course the world wide web for all of our music needs. However, none of these would have been possible without the advent of the record player, one of the more important pieces of musical equipment in the history of the world. It was so pioneering that following its invention in 1877, it took almost 100 years for it to be replaced by new technologies. And still today, record players have a vintage musical feel that makes them quite popular with music aficionados worldwide. Nowadays, anytime one thinks of the record player, it is often the Technics or the Crosley Record Players that comes to mind. Though over a hundred years ago, the name which was of most importance was Thomas Edison.

Over the past few years vinyl records, particularly classic ones, have made a comeback on mainstream music entertainment. A lot of companies have created machines that had classic style, yet modern technology, that could play old vinyl records, like the collection of Crosley Record Players. Using these kinds of machines, people who love old, classic records, like Fleetwood Mac’s “Rumours”, can now enjoy them with a modern twist.
